Assaulted Anambra NYSC Member Narrates Ordeals: “I Saw Masked Man With Gun"

An Anambra NYSC member, Jennifer Elohor Edema, recently recounted her harrowing experience of being assaulted by the Agunechemba Vigilante Group. In a video that went viral on social media, Elohor and her colleague were physically assaulted, with Elohor being beaten and stripped by the vigilante operatives who accused them of internet fraud.

Despite showing their identification cards, the vigilantes continued to assault them. Elohor described how masked armed men stormed their lodge, ransacked their room, and took their belongings.

The incident sparked widespread condemnation, leading to the arrest of the vigilante men. The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the assault and stated that the vigilante operative involved has been arrested and detained pending further investigation.

Elohor's ordeal highlights the need for proper accountability and respect for individuals' rights.
