Soludo Sacks 8 Anambra Vigilantes For Brutalising NYSC Member

Anambra State Governor, Soludo, has dismissed 8 members of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group for assaulting a NYSC member in a viral video. The victim's medical bills were covered, and the damaged valuables were replaced by the state.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security stated that the operatives acted outside their mandate and would be handed over to the police for prosecution. The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) condemned the assault, demanding the prosecution of those involved.

The NBA described the incident as inhumane and a direct violation of the victim's dignity and fundamental human rights. This case is seen as a turning point in reforming community security operations in the state.
