South Korea's Son Heung-min is honored as the nation's most-capped player with 138 appearances, surpassing the previous record of 136. The 33-year-old LAFC forward was presented with a special jersey at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Son made his debut at 18 in 2010, and despite not adding to his tally of 53 international goals in the recent match against Paraguay, he has been performing strongly for LAFC. His team is aiming for success in the MLS Cup playoffs under manager Steve Cherundolo.
