Southern Governors Condemn Kwara Terror Attack, Seek Perpetrators' Arrest

The Southern Governors Forum issued a statement condemning the deadly terrorist attack in Woro Nuku, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, which resulted in the tragic loss of at least 162 lives. The attack targeted residents who allegedly refused to adopt Sharia law, with homes and shops burnt, several people kidnapped, and innocent citizens brutally murdered.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State expressed deep sorrow over the incident and emphasized the importance of upholding Nigeria as a secular state that respects religious freedom. The governors called on law enforcement agencies to track down and prosecute the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State was commended for his efforts, with hopes that justice will prevail and security agencies will bring an end to the senseless violence.
