Bruce Onobrakpeya Art Exhibit Set for April 2026 in Lagos

The "Gregorian Art Exhibit," organized by St. Gregory's College Old Boys Association, will take place from April 25 to April 27, 2026, at the Jubilee Hall in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The event will feature the works of renowned artist Bruce Onobrakpeya and is expected to attract prominent figures such as Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka and Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, among other traditional rulers and artists.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for April 25 at 11:30 AM, with a strict invitation policy for the grand opening, while the public can access the exhibit starting at 2:00 PM. The exhibit will remain open to the public on April 26 and 27 from 11:00 AM daily.

The theme of the exhibit is to celebrate the legacy and continuing influence of Onobrakpeya, recognized as a UNESCO Living Human Treasure. The event aims to bridge generations of artists and deepen appreciation for Nigerian visual art.
