Tajudeen, Kalu Celebrate Sultan Abubakar's 70th Birthday

On Tuesday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and his Deputy, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, extended their congratulations to Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, on his 70th birthday. In a statement released to parliamentary correspondents in Abuja, Speaker Tajudeen described the Sultan as a symbol of leadership, unity, and patriotism, commending him for fostering peace and stability among Nigerians across various divides.

Tajudeen noted the Sultan's wise counsel to the political class and his readiness to speak truth to power. He prayed for the Sultan's continued grace and health.

Deputy Speaker Kalu also praised the Sultan's contributions to national unity and religious tolerance, referring to him as a father figure and a stabilizing voice in Nigeria. Kalu highlighted the Sultan's military background and his role in promoting interfaith harmony since ascending the throne in 2006.

He prayed for the Sultan's good health and continued peace in the Caliphate and Nigeria.
