Sporting Lagos Nears NPFL Return After Key Victory

Sporting Lagos is on the verge of returning to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after achieving a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Calabar Rovers on Wednesday. This win propelled them to the top of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Conference B, where they currently hold 33 points, 17 points ahead of their closest rival, Akwa United.

The final game of the season is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, against Osun United, where a victory will ensure Sporting Lagos's promotion back to the top flight of Nigerian football. This return would mark a significant achievement for Lagos City, as they would join Ikorodu City and another unnamed club in the NPFL.

Additionally, Akwa United's former coach, Paul Offor, is expected to face Solut FC in the final match of the season.
