Sportsville Sets Date for 2026 Award Ceremony in Lagos

Sportsville has officially announced the date for its 2026 Special Recognition Award ceremony, which will occur on Saturday, March 28, at the Lagos Country Club in Ikeja. Harri Iwuala, the chairman of this year's award committee, confirmed the date following a meticulous selection process that has been in preparation for several months.

Iwuala, who also serves as the media director for the Nigeria Premier Football League, emphasized the thoroughness of the selection process, ensuring the awards maintain their credibility. Frank Ilaboya, the chief executive officer of Sportsville Communications Ltd, noted that preparations for this year's edition are already underway, promising an exciting and innovative event.

The awards will feature seven categories, including Sport Icon, Sport Person, and Sport Transformation, among others. The initiative, which began five years ago, aims to recognize deserving individuals and organizations contributing to sports development in Nigeria, with a commitment to sustaining high standards.
