St. Joseph’s College Ondo Marks 70th Anniversary Celebration

St. Joseph’s College, Ondo, founded in 1956 by the De La Salle Brothers, is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a week-long series of events from March 18 to March 22, 2026.

The celebration, organized by Chief Yele Ogundipe, includes a platinum jubilee walk, an inter-school football match against Methodist High School Okitipupa at the Ondo Sports Stadium on March 19, and the launch of an endowment fund to support the school's academic development. The endowment fund aims to raise N100 million and will provide annual support for teacher welfare, laboratory equipment, and scholarships for indigent students.

The celebration will culminate in a gala night and award ceremony at the Ondo Civic Centre on March 21, followed by a thanksgiving service at the school chapel on March 22. Notable alumni include former Ondo State Governor Dr.

Olusegun Mimiko and Ogun State Governor Princ Dapo Abiodun. The theme of the anniversary is "Building a Glorious Heritage to Inspire Generations.".
