Stakeholders Reject Protest Against Youth Training in Rivers

Stakeholders in Rivers State have condemned a recent protest by beneficiaries of the agro-based youth training program initiated by the Rivers State government. They described the protest as an attempt to create tension and sabotage the program's objectives.

The stakeholders highlighted the urgent need for agricultural development in the state and criticized the notion that the program was merely a means to distribute funds without proper supervision. Former Commissioner for Agriculture, Victor Kii, issued a press statement to debunk allegations surrounding the protest, urging participants to maintain calm and restraint.

Kii assured that the program would soon be implemented under normal circumstances and called for commitment and discipline during the training phase. He emphasized the importance of the program in creating a sustainable impact on skill development, rather than perpetuating a culture of economic dependency.
