Imo Youths Warned Against Disrupting Empowerment Initiatives

Innoc Shedrach Eged, a director of the Tinubu Youth Vanguard, issued a warning to youths in Imo State against sabotaging empowerment initiatives. This statement came in response to disruptions at a youth empowerment rally organized by the Citi Boi Movement in Owerri, Imo State.

Reports indicated that local participants stormed the venue, triggering a stampede and leading to the looting of items meant for distribution to youths across the Southeast. Eged described the disruption as unfortunate and unpatriotic, warning that such actions undermine genuine initiatives aimed at empowering young Nigerians.

He expressed disappointment over the event, which was intended to uplift youth and promote economic inclusion. Eged urged stakeholders and authorities to ensure that future empowerment programs are conducted in a secure and orderly environment.

He also called on Nigerians to be patient and supportive of the economic reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which aims to stabilize the economy and ensure sustainable growth.
