Stakeholders Urge FG to Leverage Youth Creativity for Growth

At the IDCL Global Conference ’26 held in Abuja, stakeholders called on the Federal Government and Nigerians to harness the creativity and entrepreneurial potential of youth for national development. The conference, themed “A New Nigeria,” featured entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policy stakeholders discussing pathways to economic growth and governance reforms.

Gabriel Obochi, the Convener of the Made in Abuja Creative and Entertainment Industry Conference and Award, stressed the importance of creating an enabling environment to inspire innovation among young Nigerians. He encouraged youth to embrace risk-taking as a part of success and called for reforms in the electricity sector, advocating for the liberalization of power generation to include smaller companies.

Oluwakemi Olorode, the Convener of the IDCL Global Conference ’26, highlighted the event's aim to encourage collective efforts in changing Nigeria's narrative and acknowledged the ongoing challenges with electricity supply despite some government improvements.
