Nigerian Bar Association Urges Stakeholders to Embrace Advertising Offences Tribunal for Industry Compliance

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in partnership with the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (ARCON) organized a town hall meeting in Ikeja to discuss the Advertising Offences Tribunal (AOT) and its significance in the country's advertising sector. Chief Akinlolu Kehinde highlighted the challenges and opportunities within the voluntary compliance regime of the AOT.

The event aimed to promote a fair and balanced regulatory environment while protecting consumer rights and fostering industry growth. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of judicial oversight and the need for robust procedures to safeguard against disproportionate penalties.
