Stampede at Ekiti Convocation Party Claims Three Lives

On April 18, 2028, a post-convocation party organized by Bamidel Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology in Iker Ekiti turned tragic when a stampede led to the deaths of three people, including two students and a hotel staff member. The event, which followed the university's second convocation ceremony, became chaotic, resulting in a stampede as attendees attempted to flee the premises.

The Ekiti State Police Command, led by Commissioner Michael Falad, has initiated a thorough investigation into the incident. Preliminary investigations revealed that an argument escalated into a fight, prompting attendees to rush out, which caused the stampede.

The deceased bodies have been deposited in a morgue for autopsy, and the police have assured the families of the victims that they will leave no stone unturned in uncovering the circumstances surrounding the incident.
