Stanbic IBTC Warns of Possible H1 2026 Filing Delay

Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and its stakeholders about a possible delay in filing its Audited Financial Statements for the half-year ended 30 June 2026. This notification was made in a regulatory statement signed by Chidi Okezie, the Group Company Secretary, and published on the NGX portal on Tuesday.
The company indicated that the delay might hinder the submission of the H1 2026 results by the statutory regulatory deadline of 28 August 2026. Stanbic IBTC is currently finalizing the audit of its half-year results and will seek necessary approval from its primary regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), before releasing the financial results to the public.
The company assured stakeholders that it is working diligently to expedite the process and aims to submit the financial statements around or shortly after the regulatory deadline. Under NGX post-listing rules, quoted companies must submit their interim reports within 30 to 60 days after the end of the period, but full interim audits for commercial banks require regulatory clearance from the CBN.
