Startup Leaders to Tackle Funding Challenges at Unwindfest

The 10th edition of Unwindfest, organized by Founder Rant, is set to take place in Nigeria, bringing together 150 founders and chief executives from various industries to discuss the funding challenges faced by startups. The event will feature discussions focused on practical solutions for hiring, pricing, scaling, and navigating uncertainties in the local market.

Despite the growth of Africa's startup ecosystem, with funding rising from less than $200 million in 2015 to $2 billion in 2021, small and medium-sized enterprises continue to struggle with access to finance, with only 20-33% able to secure formal funding. The event will include keynote addresses from notable speakers such as Paul Onwuanib and others, aiming to foster knowledge sharing and peer learning among founders.

Seyi Olaniyan emphasized the importance of creating a space for honest discussions about real business challenges, ensuring that founders are better equipped to navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.
