Tinubu Commits to Establishing State Police Framework

During an interfaith breakfast event held at the Presidential Banquet Hall in Abuja last week, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to establishing a state police framework aimed at combating insecurity in Nigeria. The event marked the first iftar of the 2026 Ramadan season.

Tinubu emphasized that the establishment of state police would not be postponed, addressing concerns from skeptics, including members of the committee such as Bode Ojajuni. The police commission is represented by various officials, including Deputy Commissioners Suleyman Gulma and Ikechukwu Okafor, and Chief Superintendent Tolulop Ipinmisho.

The initiative is part of the government's broader strategy to enhance security measures across the country.
