Tinubu Announces State Police Initiative Amid Ramadan Iftar

During a Ramadan iftar event at the State House in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared that Nigeria is on the path to recovery from economic and security challenges. He announced the initiation of efforts to establish state police aimed at addressing persistent insecurity across the country.

Tinubu spoke about the necessity for resilience and collective commitment to national recovery, emphasizing that hard work and determination are essential to navigate through the uncertainties. He praised Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum for his Ramadan feeding initiative and urged greater youth empowerment and grassroots development.

The event featured interfaith prayers and was attended by several state governors, including Hope Uzodinma and Agbu Kefa, as well as Vice President Kashim Shettima and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila. Tinubu called for unity and sacrifice during the fasting period, highlighting the importance of supporting the less privileged.
