Sokoto Governor Praises Tinubu's Funding for States

On Wednesday, Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu announced that state governments are experiencing better funding under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, which has facilitated the implementation of various projects and programs. This statement was made during the flag-off of a food subsidy initiative in Bodinga Local Government Area, aimed at providing essential food items to rural residents and junior civil servants at affordable prices.

Aliyu attributed the successful execution of development projects and palliative measures to the increased funding from the Federal Government. He urged residents to support Tinubu's bid for re-election in 2027, dismissing negative campaigns against the President and praising his economic policies.

Additionally, Aliyu addressed insecurity in Sokoto, highlighting his administration's support for security agencies, including the provision of 62 armored vehicles and over 200 patrol vehicles. He called for community cooperation in combating insecurity and urged residents to pray for peace in Sokoto and Nigeria.
