Sterling One Foundation Launches Nationwide Clean-Up Drive to Combat Plastic Pollution

Sterling One Foundation, in collaboration with partners, initiated a nationwide clean-up campaign across 17 states in Nigeria to address the escalating plastic pollution issue. The campaign, which began at Alpha Beach in Lagos, aims to reduce plastic waste through community mobilization and recycling efforts.

Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling One Foundation, emphasized the importance of public involvement in protecting the marine environment. Akpor Idenedo, Division Head of Commercial Banking at Sterling Bank, highlighted the bank's commitment to environmental sustainability, given Nigeria's significant plastic waste generation.
