Nigerian Environmental Council Addresses Plastic Waste Menace in Katsina State

The Nigerian environmental council in Katsina State recently tackled the issue of plastic waste, emphasizing the severe consequences of plastic pollution on health and the environment. The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) Chairman, Justice Bukola Adebiyi, warned about the long-lasting impact of plastic waste, including health risks, flooding, and environmental contamination.

The council urged plastic manufacturers and bottling companies to adopt responsible production practices and called for a nationwide effort to address the growing plastic waste crisis. The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) was mentioned as one of the entities working towards environmental safety.
