Oba Ladoja Urges Politicians to Avoid Religious Mobilization

Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, advised politicians and stakeholders in Nigeria to refrain from using religion as a tool for political mobilization. He delivered this message while addressing journalists in Bodija, Ibadan, during the Eid el-Fitr celebrations.

Ladoja highlighted the importance of unity among people of diverse backgrounds, stating that religion should not play a role in political discourse. He expressed concern over the increasing insecurity in the country, particularly referencing recent kidnapping incidents in Oyo State.

Ladoja challenged the existing issues affecting the state and underscored the need for effective solutions to tackle these problems, asserting that the use of religion in politics is detrimental to societal cohesion.
