Expert Urges FG to Streamline State Police Operations

During the 9th Annual Ramadan Lecture held in Abuja, Dr. Ibrahim Moham Ajia, a board member of the Ashraaf Islam Foundation, urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to properly streamline the operations of State Police.

He highlighted the pressing issues of insurgency, kidnapping, and banditry affecting the country, asserting that a clear roadmap for community policing is essential. Dr.

Ajia emphasized that addressing high-level crime requires a well-articulated plan and that the Nigerian government must take decisive action. He also called upon religious leaders and traditional rulers to assist the government in tackling these security challenges.

Dr. Ajia's remarks were made in the context of the lecture's theme, "Faith, Justice, and Islam: A Judicial Perspective on Terrorism and Banditry in Nigeria," reflecting the urgent need for collaborative efforts to combat crime effectively.
