FG Holds Crucial Meeting to End NUPENG Nationwide Strike

The Nigerian Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, held a crucial meeting with representatives from Dangote Group and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) to address the nationwide strike declared by NUPENG. The meeting aimed to resolve the industrial unrest in the oil industry, which poses a threat to Nigeria's economy and stability.

Dingyadi emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and urged all parties to engage in negotiations with an open mind. The meeting included officials from the Ministry, NUPENG, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Trade Union Congress (TUC).

The strike was described as indefinite, with allegations against Dangote Group for anti-union practices.
