FCTA Workers Defy Court Order, Vow to Stay Home Amid Strike Dispute

Following a court ruling granting an injunction sought by the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, to suspend an ongoing strike, members of the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) representing aggrieved workers gathered in Abuja. They vowed to remain at home, citing unresolved grievances such as outstanding salary payments, promotions, and provision of basic work tools.

The workers expressed their insistence on concrete government actions before returning to work, rejecting any pressure to resume work without tangible progress on their demands.
