Bauchi Governor Disburses N800m Scholarship, Eases Burden for Students

The National Union of Bauchi State Students (NUBASS) confirmed the disbursement of N800 million by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed's administration as part of a scholarship scheme for indigent students nationwide. The NUBASS president, Comrade Bello Ibrahim Aliyu, praised the historic impact of the payment, emphasizing the government's commitment to education.

Out of the approved N800 million, NUBASS verified that N200 million has already been disbursed to beneficiaries across 154 tertiary institutions. The remaining balance is expected to be cleared soon.

Governor Bala Mohammed's intervention has provided hope and relief to thousands of students, making it the largest scholarship scheme in Bauchi State's history.
