Deputy Senate President Awards N800m Scholarships to 1,000 Kano Students

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin awarded full scholarships worth N800 million to 1,000 Kano State students at a ceremony in Bayero University Kano. The scholarships cover tuition and related expenses throughout the students' degree programs at Federal University Katsina or its study center in Kano.

Senator Jibrin emphasized the initiative's aim to ease financial burdens on students and promote educational development to secure the nation's future. Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, also provided transport allowances to the students.

The scholarships are part of efforts to eradicate illiteracy and ensure a brighter tomorrow through investing in education and empowering the youth.
