Students Hail Impact Of Loan Programme

Students at the recent education expo in Lagos praised the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for its positive impact on their academic and personal lives. Beneficiaries like Chiamaka Oshite, Aisha Falalu, Khadija Sonibare, and Samuel Udeh shared how the financial support from NELFUND had enabled them to purchase textbooks, cover expenses, and focus on their studies without financial stress.

NELFUND's Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyerr, highlighted the program as a transformative initiative aimed at expanding access to higher education by removing financial barriers. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was also credited for his commitment to ensuring the program's success and sustainability.

Educationist Muda Ojo noted that the NELFUND loan has been crucial in bridging the financial gap for many Nigerian students, allowing them to focus on their studies. Since its launch in May 2024, NELFUND has disbursed N81 billion in tuition.
