Nasarawa Governor Sule Launches Key Road Projects

On September 27, 2026, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State commissioned a 5-kilometre asphalt road in Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA) as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of Nasarawa State, which will occur on October 1st. Additionally, he commissioned one-kilometre roads in Wamba and Nasarawa-Eggon LGAs.

During the ceremonies, Governor Sule praised the chairmen of the three LGAs for their quality road construction, which utilized stone base and asphalt finishing. He reiterated his administration's commitment to granting full autonomy to local governments, allowing them to manage their funds independently, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and accountability of the third tier of government.

The governor acknowledged the support of traditional institutions in governance at the grassroots level and called for continued cooperation to foster development. The executive chairmen of the three LGAs expressed their gratitude for the governor's reforms, noting that the autonomy has improved resource management.
