Big 5 Construct Nigeria Set for September 2023 Event

The sixth edition of Big 5 Construct Nigeria, the country’s largest construction event, is scheduled for September 22 to 24 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. The event aims to showcase products and solutions for Nigeria's construction industry, which recorded a $54 billion output in 2025.

More than 165 exhibitors from over 20 countries are expected, with attendance anticipated to exceed 10,000 contractors, developers, architects, engineers, and other built-environment professionals. The exhibition will cover various sectors, including building interiors, concrete, construction tools, digital technologies, and more.

According to Market Research and ResearchAndMarkets, Nigeria's construction sector is projected to grow by 3.1 percent in 2026 and average 3.2 percent annual growth from 2027 to 2030. The Federal Government's initiative to establish Building Materials Manufacturing Hubs under the Renewed Hope Agenda aims to strengthen local production and reduce construction costs.

Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President of dmg events, emphasized the importance of connecting local companies with international suppliers to support Nigeria's construction ambitions.
