SUNU Assurances Nigeria AGM 2026: New Directors and Auditors Approved

SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc (SUNUASSUR) convened its 39th Annual General Meeting on Friday, 21st August 2026, at BWC Hotel, Plot 1228 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. Shareholders received the Consolidated Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December 2025, alongside reports from the Directors, Audit Committee, and External Auditors.

A notable outcome of the meeting was the replacement of the retiring external audit firm, SIAO Partners, with TAC Professional Services, whose appointment was ratified by shareholders. The board was also authorised to fix the remuneration of the incoming auditors for the 2026 financial year.

Three new directors were ratified: Mrs. Lucie Tannous Barry as Independent Non-Executive Director, Mr. Roland Ouedraogo as Non-Executive Director, and Mr. Olayinka Adaramola as Executive Director, Technical Operations. Mrs. Aisha Abubakar was re-elected to the board.

The Audit Committee will comprise three shareholder representatives — Mr. Samuel Adekunle Adedoyin, Oba Yekini Ajadi Olanrewaju, and Mr. Oluyinka Oniwinde — alongside two board nominees, Mrs. Aisha Abubakar and Mr. Roland Ouedraogo.

Shareholders also approved the renewal of a general mandate for related party transactions and authorised the board to set Non-Executive Director remuneration for 2026.
