Super Eagles Coach Chelle Demands $130,000 Salary Increase

Eric Sekou Chelle, the head coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles, has submitted a 19-point demand to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) following his failure to qualify Nigeria for the 2026 World Cup and a third-place finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Chelle, who has a two-year contract, is requesting an increase in his monthly salary from $50,000 to $130,000.

His demands also include provisions for his technical crew, such as a private car, housing security, uninterrupted power supply, and travel arrangements for his family. Additionally, he seeks the right to select players without interference, a structured bonus system, and a monthly salary payment by the 30th.

Chelle's agent, Sidib Abraham Brehima, has ended their long-standing partnership, and Chelle's demands were made public by Nigerian journalist Shina Oludar.
