Eric Chelle Addresses NFF on Coaching Requests

Eric Chelle, the current coach of the Super Eagles, has publicly addressed the 19 requests he submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). He clarified that these requests, aimed at improving his working conditions, should not be misconstrued as an ultimatum or a threat to leave.

Chelle's proposals include a salary increase from $50,000 to $130,000 to cover wages for backroom staff and other operational needs. He also requested provisions for a private SUV, security details, accommodation in secure areas, stable electricity, and furnished office equipment.

Additionally, he outlined the need for tactical analysis support, flight tickets for his wife and children, and autonomy in team selection. The NFF has acknowledged receipt of these proposals, which are currently under board review.

Chelle's requests come in the wake of Nigeria's third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and amid interest from other countries, including Tunisia and Angola.
