NFF Names 23-Man Squad for Iran, Jordan Friendlies

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially invited 23 players, including captain Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman, for international friendlies against Iran and Jordan. Head coach Eric Chell confirmed the squad selection on Wednesday, March 18.

The matches are set to take place in Antalya, Turkey, with the Jordan match scheduled for March 31, following a shift due to military conflict in the Middle East. The squad includes regular players and fresh faces, such as goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, defender Semi Ajayi, and midfielder Frank Onyeka, alongside attacking options like Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze.

Notably, Victor Osimhen was not included in the squad. New inclusions feature defender Emmanuel Fernandez and forward Philip Otel.

The complete squad also lists players like Adebayo Adeleye, Francis Uzoho, and Bright Osayi-Samuel, among others, as they prepare for these crucial fixtures.
