Super Eagles Crew Heads to Turkey for Iran Friendly

The technical crew of the Super Eagles has departed for Turkey, specifically Antalya, on Monday night, in preparation for an upcoming friendly match against the Iranian national football team. Assistant coach Fide Ilechukwu will lead the initial contingent, while head coach Eric Chell and other members of the technical crew are expected to arrive in Europe shortly.

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is reportedly contemplating a coaching shake-up due to concerns regarding the experience level within the current coaching setup. Senior officials of the NFF, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, indicated that there will be a review of the coaching structure.

This meeting is expected to take place within the week. Notably, Ogunmoded, a recent recipient of the UEFA B license from Scotland, led Remo Stars to a historic NPFL title last season, although the club is currently struggling.

Meanwhile, Ilechukwu continues to impress with Enugu Rangers, firmly positioning them in the title race.
