Super Eagles Tournament in Jordan May Move to Europe

The Super Eagles, Nigeria's national football team, are scheduled to participate in a friendly tournament in Jordan later this month, alongside the Iran national football team, as part of their preparation for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The match against Iran is set for March 27, 2023, in Amman.

However, ongoing attacks involving the United States and Israel against Iran have created uncertainty regarding the safety of the event in the region. As a result, tournament organizers are considering alternative arrangements, including the possibility of relocating the Super Eagles' matches to a European venue during the international break.

A final decision regarding the relocation of the entire tournament is expected to be announced in March, coinciding with the international fixture schedule.
