Saraki Lauds New ICT Centre for Bauchi Youth Empowerment

On Sunday, Dr. Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, commended Alhaji Usman Adamu Ahmed Suphi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Bauchi State, for inaugurating a 500-seater Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area.

Saraki, represented by former PDP National Chairman Abubakar Baraje, stated that the centre would provide essential digital skills to youths, enabling them to compete in the global economy. He emphasized the importance of digital literacy and entrepreneurship, urging beneficiaries to take ownership of the facility and maintain it for sustained impact.

Suphi described the centre as a “symbol of hope” and noted it would accommodate 500 users, each equipped with a laptop and necessary accessories. He highlighted the centre's role in preparing youths for computer-based examinations and professional certifications, while the Assufiyya Humanitarian Foundation plans to expand its educational and developmental initiatives.
