Supreme Court Clears Way for Trial Resumption in $1.04m Fraud Case

The Supreme Court in Nigeria struck out a motion filed by socialite Fred Ajudua challenging an earlier ruling in a $1.04 million fraud case involving Palestinian businessman Zad Abu Zalaf. The trial, which began in 2005, faced delays attributed to legal objections.

Ajudua is accused of defrauding Abu Zalaf through false pretenses. The trial is set to continue following the withdrawal of the motion, with the next hearing scheduled for November 20-21, 2025.
