Natasha Akpoti Calls for PDP Reconciliation Post-Supreme Court Ruling

Senator Natasha Akpoti has called on aggrieved leaders of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to embrace reconciliation in light of a recent Supreme Court ruling that impacts the party's leadership structure. This appeal comes amid rising tensions within the PDP, exacerbated by factional disagreements following the court's decision.

Akpoti, alongside Uduaghan, made this statement in Abuja through her media aide, Mike Idoko, urging party members to avoid misinformation and misinterpretation of the court's judgment, which invalidated decisions made at the Ibadan convention. She expressed goodwill towards the party and emphasized the need for unity as the PDP prepares for the 2027 general elections.

Akpoti clarified that the Supreme Court ruling did not pertain to the suspension of the party's national secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, and noted that the suspension of Anyanwu and three others would lapse on December 1, 2025. She remains optimistic about the PDP's prospects in the upcoming elections.
