Terrorists Kill Three Security Operatives in Kwara Attack

On Saturday night, suspected terrorists launched an attack in Tenobo Village, located in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, leading to the deaths of three security personnel. The incident occurred around 1:10 AM when armed men stormed the community and engaged security operatives stationed in the area.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the attack involved troops from the 22 Brigade and local forest guards who responded quickly to a distress alert. Preliminary reports indicate that three security personnel lost their lives during the assault, while two mobile police officers sustained gunshot injuries.

The injured officers managed to escape with two AK-47 rifles and a riot gun. The bodies of the deceased were evacuated to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for further procedures.

In response to the attack, security agencies have launched operations to track down the assailants and recover the stolen weapons.
