Terrorists Attack Military Base in Kwara, Kill Soldiers

On the morning of the attack, around 3 AM, terrorists assaulted a military base located in Kaiama, Kwara State, killing at least three soldiers and injuring four others, which included local vigilantes. The assailants reportedly stormed the military camp, opening fire on personnel.

Local sources indicate that the attackers made off with eight operational motorcycles and a gun truck. The incident is believed to have occurred in an area surrounding Kainji National Park, which is thought to serve as a hideout for armed groups.

The attack has been attributed to Ansaru fighters, who have previously engaged in violent clashes with security forces in the region. As of now, military authorities and the police in Kwara State have not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
