Cleen Foundation Advocates for Peace in Plateau State

The Cleen Foundation, represented by Executive Director Peter Maduoma, reiterated the possibility of achieving sustainable peace in Plateau State during a two-day citizen engagement forum. The event focused on strengthening community resilience and enhancing partnerships with security agencies, particularly the Nigeria Police Force.

Maduoma highlighted the importance of citizens actively participating in their own security and outlined the need for mutual accountability between citizens and security institutions. The forum aimed to shift community perceptions from passive recipients of security services to proactive agents of their own safety.

Maduoma noted that the first quarter meeting in March 2026 identified security challenges in the state, and the second quarter intervention is designed to deepen collaboration. The forum's objectives include identifying existing resilience assets and facilitating structures for community engagement.

Maduoma pledged to intensify efforts toward achieving lasting peace in Plateau State, emphasizing that trust and active participation are essential for successful community policing.
