Muslim and Christian Leaders Unite for Peace in Plateau

In Plateau State, Nigeria, leaders from Muslim and Christian communities convened to advocate for peace after a violent incident involving an attempted attack on a Muslim scavenger by youths from the Irat community. The meeting took place on Thursday, where Ibrahim Kabir, a leader from the Muslim community, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Shaka community for their role in rescuing a member of the Muslim community.

Kabir highlighted the importance of wisdom and cooperation in preventing violence, stating that no religion endorses killing. Da John Rwang Gyang, a traditional leader from the Shaka community, echoed this sentiment, urging the youth to remain calm and abide by the law.

Both leaders emphasized the need for unity and peaceful coexistence, reminding their communities that life should be valued and that bloodshed is not desired on their land.
