Legit.ng Launches Free Fact-Checking Course to Combat Misinformation on Social Media

Leading Nigerian digital media outlet, Legit.ng, has launched a free fact-checking course to combat misinformation and disinformation on social media platforms. The initiative aims to empower social media users, especially the youth, to detect and challenge false information effectively.

Starting from August 25, the campaign will run across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, engaging young Nigerians and Africans in recognizing and countering misleading content. The course, designed for all age groups and content creators, combines relatable language with interactive elements to enhance digital literacy and promote truth online.

Legit.ng's initiative seeks to create a more informed and resilient digital community by equipping users with the tools to combat misinformation.
