Sowore Mocks Malami in Court Over Justice System Failures

During a court session at the Federal High Court in Abuja, human rights activist Omoyele Sowore mocked former Attorney General Abubakar Malami, criticizing his past role in the Nigerian justice system. Sowore, who has faced numerous encounters with law enforcement, addressed Malami directly, stating that the justice system is now dealing with him.

He referenced Malami's previous experiences in defending the system and highlighted the failures of the justice system during President Buhari's administration. Sowore offered Malami a revolutionary cap, symbolizing his ongoing activism despite criticism.

He reiterated his long-held position that the government must be held accountable in Nigeria, emphasizing that the struggles within the justice system affect everyone, regardless of their status. Malami responded briefly, stating his commitment to the legal proceedings and his intention to remain engaged.

He also mentioned his attendance at an African Democratic Congress meeting but did not attend an opposition summit in Ibadan, Oyo State.
