Sowore Clashes with Lawyer Over Courtroom Press Briefing

Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate, had a confrontation with a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) at the Federal High Court. The lawyer warned Sowore that the courtroom was not an appropriate venue for a press briefing, to which Sowore disagreed, asserting that no law prohibits addressing journalists inside the courtroom.

The SAN rejected Sowore's argument. In a separate interview with Channels TV, Sowore expressed his belief that prominent opposition figures, including Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, lack a real interest in transforming Nigeria's political landscape.

He argued that these politicians focus on personal gains rather than addressing the deep-rooted issues facing the country, such as youth unemployment and systemic failures. Sowore emphasized that his group represents a genuine resistance to the current political structure, which he views as failing ordinary Nigerians.
