Senator Adeola Mourns Nollywood Veteran Taiwo Hassan

Senator Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West, commented on the passing of Nollywood veteran Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, who died on Sunday at the age of 66 after a battle with stage-four cancer. In a condolence statement, Adeola, also known as Yayi, noted that every possible effort was made to keep Ogogo alive during his illness.

He described the loss as particularly painful due to the actor's long struggle with health issues and the collective support for his medical care. Adeola referred to Ogogo as more than just a respected figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, calling him a dear brother and a proud son of Ilaro.

He acknowledged Ogogo's significant impact on the happiness of several generations of Nigerians and his role in the growth of the Nigerian film industry. Adeola extended his condolences to Ogogo's family and prayed for Allah's forgiveness and mercy for the late actor, as well as strength for those mourning his death.
