ADC Urges Tinubu to Prioritize Governance on 74th Birthday

On the occasion of President Bola Tinubu's 74th birthday, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) called for a more serious approach to governance. Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's national public secretary, criticized Tinubu's administration for its failures, particularly regarding economic and security challenges facing Nigeria.

The ADC pointed out that fuel prices have surged nearly 500%, impacting daily transportation costs and the overall cost of living for Nigerians. Additionally, Nigeria has climbed to the fourth position on the global terror index, with thousands of lives lost to violence.

Abdullahi expressed concerns over the narrowing political space and the deepening economic strain, urging the government to act decisively in response to these issues. Despite these challenges, Tinubu expressed gratitude for the birthday messages and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the nation, indicating that the sacrifices made by his administration are not in vain and that there is hope for improvement.
