ADC Warns Tinubu of Potential 2027 Electoral Defeat

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement on Friday, warning President Bola Tinubu that he should be concerned about potential electoral defeat in 2027 due to widespread hardship and worsening living conditions in Nigeria. Bolaji Abdullahi, ADC's national publicity secretary, criticized Tinubu for appearing increasingly detached from the realities of hardship, insecurity, and public frustration.

The ADC highlighted that many Nigerians are grappling with a historic cost of living crisis, food inflation, and rising debt burdens. Instead of addressing these pressing issues, Tinubu has been accused of mocking opposition figures like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Governor Peter Obi.

The ADC also noted that Tinubu's comments appear to focus on political theatrics rather than the genuine concerns of citizens. The party emphasized its commitment to building a credible alternative for Nigerians, asserting that the current administration's policies have ruined lives and destroyed livelihoods.
