Tambuwal Speaks On Joining APC To Seek ‘Forgiveness Of Sins’

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal addressed supporters upon his return to Sokoto on Friday, stating that his interest in joining the APC was not to seek "forgiveness of sins" but to stand with the people of Nigeria. Tambuwal, a member of the opposition coalition, emphasized that he was not intimidated or blackmailed into defecting, and dismissed allegations of fraudulent withdrawal of billions from the Sokoto State Government account as a "blatant lie." He maintained that the political landscape in Nigeria is sharply divided and expressed support for President Bola Tinubu's government.

Tambuwal defended his record, stating that he was detained and released without any charges, questioning the motives behind the allegations against him.
